Flat Stanley has a day out in Melbourne Australia

Flat Stanley and the Eureka Tower.

It was a lovely sunny day in Melbourne. And Flat Stanley's friends wanted to take him to see some of the sights of Melbourne.

Flat Stanley was really happy that he could visit the observation deck of the Eureka Tower in Melbourne, which is the tallest building in Australia. He could see all around the Melbourne area from 88 floors up !

Flat Stanley really enjoyed the coffee and crepes he had for lunch in Centre Place. Yummy !

Flat Stanley visits Sydney - and meets Flat Ben !

Flat Stanley was very excited to visit Sydney - he really wanted to see the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge (yes Harbour has a "U" as it's Australia !). Well he got to see both quite close up !!! He was very happy about it !!

He also got to visit another "Flat" guy. His new friend was "Flat Ben". Flat Ben was a very large statue of Australia's 16th Prime Minister Ben Chifley.

From the centre of Sydney, Flat Stanley took a stroll down to the Sydney Harbour to check out the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.

Flat Stanley Visits Singapore - on a really really really big plane

Flat Stanley flew to Singapore for a few days !

He enjoyed a business trip from Melbourne, Australia to the island country of Singapore on a Qantas A380 Aircraft, which is the largest passenger aircraft in the world! The flight was only fairly short (about 8 hours), and was nice and comfortable.

He stayed in a hotel in Singapore for a while. He even wore his newly fashioned pajamas made by his grandma (his Australian One)

Flat Stanley visits Bendigo for the weekend

At the weekend Flat Stanley went to a Geocaching event in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. He'd been "resting" in Northcote after his long trip from Minnesota, and was really looking forward to meeting some new friends in Bendigo, and having some new adventures. 

Bendigo is around 150km (or 91 miles) north of Melbourne. So Flat Stanley was looking forward to seeing all the sights on the way.  It was going to be a warm weekend - with temperatures of around 38 Celcius, and not much cooler at night.

Flat Stanley stayed at the Quest Central Hotel in Bendigo. It's such a new hotel, that you can't even see it on Google Streetview.  It wasn't event built when the photograph was taken !  

While in Bendigo he visited the Town Hall, the famous Alexandra Fountain  and even the Bendigo Pottery.

 Flat Stanley has heard that he may be travelling to Singapore this week !

Flat Stanley arrives in Northcote, Victoria, Australia !

Flat Stanley Arrives in Northcote Australia. It's summer in the southern hemisphere at the moment so he's glad to be in the warmth rather than the cold of Edina ! He says he's thinking about a trip to Bendigo, VIC, Australia this weekend, and perhaps Singapore next week ! Welcome to Australia Flat Stanley !
